Quiz Evening (November 22, 2021)

On November 22, 2021, we got together for a quiz evening. All of us who were present faced the previously and lovingly selected questions about the United Nations and the Model UN - and had a lot of fun. At the end, we additionally shared our experiences with the international organization so far and asked each other questions that just came to our minds. A successful evening all around. Join us next time – it will be fun!

Info Meeting (November 10, 2021)

The info-meeting was a short meeting, in which the new participants got a better idea what the main goals of the club are, how the club works, what the club has done so far and what are the future goals. Furthermore the executive positions were presented by each executive member aiming new candidates for the executive positions. We hope to see many of the participants very soon again!

Discussion event (June 24, 2021)

Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers." 

The freedom of the press is an important issue for the United Nations, the European Union and for democracy itself. However, year after year it loses more of its power. Why is that? Is the article of UDHR still up-to-date? What could we do to protect journalists and the press more effectively? These were the topics we discussed during our first discussion event, which had to take place online due to the corona pandemic. Nevertheless, it was really funny!
